Wordful Wednesday: Celebrating Black Love On the Dance Floor

My good friends over at BlackAndMarriedWithKids.com hipped me to this beautiful video of a couples' dance ministry at Chicago's own Trinity United Church of Christ. I mean, they had me at Babyface, but how lovely to see husbands and wives so publicly expressing their love for and commitment to one another through an art form so meaningful to us.

*sigh*

Indeed, love's the place to be.

  11. i dont wanna hear babyface [or any other r&b group] in the sanctuary of the church.

believe it or not, God's house is supposed to be sacred.

  12. @Anonymous: Alrighty then—to each his/her own. But that particular song they were dancing to is an absolutely stunning piece of music about a man's love for his wife, and his getting down on his knees and thanking the Lord for bringing her into his life. Call me crazy, but I don't think the Lord would have a problem with a song that encourages husbands to show their sincere appreciation and gratitude for their wives.
